Pharmaceutical sales is an attractive career for many reasons. One being rookies may be considered, but many companies ask for sales experience.

Saying that, we've placed numerous rookies without traditional sales experience into entry pharma roles.

How? They were able to convince the hiring manager they had what it takes.

So how can you do that?

👉 Here’s our advice:

✔ Thoroughly research the role you're applying for – go the extra mile by speaking to reps & have a field day

✔ Explain why you want to be in sales. Your answer should go beyond 'I want a new challenge' or 'I think I'd be good at it'

✔ Identify your relevant & transferable skills i.e. join the dots between the jobs you’ve had & the job you want

✔ Know the principles of territory management

✔ Demonstrate where you've thrived in roles with KPIs

✔ Showcase your quantifiable achievements & how you've excelled in the past

✔ Give compelling examples of persuasion/influence, handling rejection & demonstrating tenacity

✔ Demonstrate you're eager to learn & can take feedback

✔ Tailor your resume to the job

✔ Understand the sales process – you'll need this for the role play!
